The High School ministry has started missions training using the materials from Operation Worldview with Michelle Wood. We will be using her experience and enthusiasm for mission work in Russia as a launch point for our own discussions on missions and planning our own missions trip. This is a crucial time for our students as we will be learning to share our faith, work with different peoples and think about the kingdom throughout the world. This class will be taught in the Evergreen Room.
Our Jr. Highers meet upstairs with Jamey and Christy Gregg. This will be a time of building friendships and growing in the Word together. It is crucial that our young people learn the Bible and how to apply it to their lives as they are forming their worldview. This time will balance well with the creation study on Tuesday nights.
Adult Elective CoursesThe following is a description of classes currently being offered, the teacher and where it is located. 1-2 Samuel -1-2 Samuel - Bill Kramer is teaching this class in the Youth Room. Wouldn't it be great to be called a "man (or woman) after God's own heart"? Surely that is the desire of every committed believer. In this study, we will look up close and personal at David, the man who was honored by this description. Along the way, we'll meet such fascinating characters as Hannah, Eli, Saul, Goliath, Nathan and Jonathan. Fascinating, yes, but also beset with the same shortcomings as we are, and that will be the critical focus of this class: what can we learn from the life of Israel's greatest human king and others of his generation that will help us grow closer to our God?
Understanding Islam - Scott Foster is teaching this class in the Choir Room. Explore the history of Islam, it's teachings and beliefs, how Christians should interact with Muslims and other topics.
Solving the Riddles of Calvinism and Armenianism - Pastor David Morrison is teaching this class in the Worship Center. Learn to better understand God’s salvation, your purpose in life, and learn about the significance of man in Christ’s coming Kingdom.
