Worship at The Celebration is time for us to
give wholehearted gratitude to God and experience a transformational encounter
in God’s presence. God’s story is proclaimed and re-enacted. The perspectives
and focus of our hearts and lives is adjusted by celebrating who God is and
remembering who we are in Christ. The Celebration blends traditional and
contemporary worship. It keeps Scripture, prayer, and Bible-based teaching,
usually from the Senior Pastor as the core of the service. You will find the
service a wonderful experience that is both well planned and image-driven.
Some churches may seem dead and dry, so we
invite you to recover a vigorous, God-glorifying, worship with us in a
participatory and passionate service. Come to gather and grow.
The JOHN 6 CAFÉ is open after the service for
a great time of friendship. |

- All have sinned and are separated from God. Man cannot earn or contribute to his salvation by works.
- Jesus Christ's finished work is God's only provision for forgiveness of our sin.
- Jesus Christ was raised from the dead proving His payment for our sin and His person as the Christ-man.
- Salvation is obtained only by accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior through faith alone.
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
- There is one triune God: Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit, co-equal and eternal, both loving and just.

We have always been a church reaching out into the community with the good news of Jesus Christ. First Baptist Church began as a Sunday School under the trees, just off Pony Express Trail during the summer of 1936. As winter approached the people began meeting in the local school. The work continued to grow and the church became known as Pollock Pines Community Church. As the church continued to grow the need for a building became apparent. In 1949 the original church building was dedicated. In 1967 the church became the First Baptist Church of Pollock Pines. The church has continued to grow during the intervening years. Three building programs have expanded the church facilities. We look forward to the Lord's leading for the future of this church as we continue to grow and serve our community as ministry opportunities and needs increase. From the beginning the church has been focused on reaching the community for Christ. |
